Castello di Spessa is an historical residence in the heart of Collio in Friuli Venezia Giulia, one of the most famous Italian wine regions. It was built in 1200, and for centuries it was the residence of the aristocracy and a destination of illustrious personalities as Giacomo Casanova and Lorenzo Da Ponte. Castello di Spessa wines age in the Middle-age cellars and in the secret bunker, which was only rediscovered in 1987 during major restoration works of the castle. Located at about 18 metres below ground level, at a constant temperature of 14 C°, the bunker is the ideal environment where the Castello di Spessa premium wines age to perfection.

Day-Trip Refund Policy

• Cancellations made more than one (1) calendar week in advance will receive a full refund

• Cancellations made within one (1) calendar week of the trip departure will receive a 50% refund

• Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip departure will receive no refund

• Cancellations will be accepted by phone, e-mail, via our online ticketing system, or in person at the ITT office during our published opening hours.

• Exception to policy: Cancellations resulting from qualified military duty, health and family emergencies, or other circumstances of an exceptional nature may be considered for refunds only if ITT is notified within 72 hours after the trip departure. The decision to issue an exception to policy will be made at the sole discretion of ITT staff and may require that supporting documentation be submitted. Occurrence of the stated events does not guarantee that a refund will be issued.
